  • 12 ounces linguine or fettuccine
  • 1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cajun seasoning to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, sauté chicken pieces seasoned with Cajun spice until browned; remove and set aside.
  3. Cook shrimp in the same skillet until pink; remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté sausage slices, then add bell peppers and onion until softened.
  5. Prepare the sauce by whisking together butter, flour, chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and spices until smooth.
  6. Combine proteins and sautéed vegetables with the sauce; toss in cooked pasta until evenly coated.
