  • 6 large eggs, room temperature
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 cup whole milk, room temperature

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300F (150C) and grease/flour a bundt or tube pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the unsalted butter until creamy, then gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy (5–7 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually mix in flour alternately with milk, starting and ending with flour. Do not overmix.
  5. Stir in vanilla and optional almond extract for enhanced flavor.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 25–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 15–20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
