  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 (12 oz) package orange candy melts
  • 9 large vegan marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch square pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; fold in dry ingredients and chocolate chunks.
  4. Spread batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Allow cooling completely before slicing into squares.
  5. Melt orange candy melts as per package instructions; dip vegan marshmallows in the coating and place on brownies.
  6. Add a chocolate chip on top of each marshmallow for the jack-o-lantern stem.
  7. Pipe jack-o-lantern faces using melted chocolate.
