  • 2 chicken breasts (about 400g), thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup hot chili sauce (like sriracha)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 large tortillas or flatbreads
  • Fresh vegetables: shredded lettuce, julienned carrot, sliced cucumber, thinly sliced red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar (white or rice vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (slurry for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or yogurt-based sauce (optional spread)
  • sesame seeds or green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together hot chili sauce, honey, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  2. In another bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and soy sauce for 6–8 minutes until browned.
  4. Pour the firecracker sauce over the chicken and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce while stirring continuously.
  6. Prepare fresh vegetables by slicing them as desired.
  7. Warm tortillas briefly in a pan or microwave.
  8. Spread mayonnaise on each tortilla if desired; layer with lettuce, veggies, and glazed chicken.
  9. Roll up tightly and slice diagonally to serve.
