  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 2 pounds cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • ¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons eggnog
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, nutmeg, salt, and melted butter until sandy. Press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  2. Bake crust for 10 minutes; let cool.
  3. In a stand mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, then eggnog until blended. Add eggs one at a time on low speed; mix in nutmeg and vanilla.
  4. Wrap the springform pan in foil and place it in a roasting pan. Pour batter into the crust and add hot water to the roasting pan.
  5. Bake for about 60–90 minutes until slightly jiggly but set. Cool gradually in the oven for an hour before refrigerating overnight.
  6. Whip cream with eggnog and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form; spread over chilled cheesecake.
