  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add egg, milk, sour cream (or yogurt), and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
