  • 4 ounces Swiss cheese, grated
  • 8 ounces Black Forest chicken, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in flour until smooth; cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously until thickened (5-7 minutes).
