  • 200g chocolate digestive biscuits (or graham crackers)
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted
  • 500g cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 200g sour cream
  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), melted
  • Zest from 2 oranges
  • 60ml freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). In a mixing bowl, combine crushed biscuits and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Bake crust for 10 minutes; set aside to cool.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add sour cream, melted chocolate, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently after each addition.
  5. Pour filling over cooled crust and bake for 50-60 minutes until edges are set with a slight jiggle in the center.
  6. Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool for an hour inside.
  7. Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours before serving.
