  • 500g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (for sauce)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the thinly sliced beef in a bowl with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat your wok on high heat and stir-fry the marinated beef until browned; remove from the wok.
  3. In the same wok, stir-fry minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped onion, and sliced bell peppers until slightly tender but still crisp.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the pan and add prepared sauce (soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar). Stir well until everything is coated.
  5. Serve hot over steamed white rice.
