  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3.4 oz package instant banana pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Caramel sauce
  • Nilla wafers
  • Fresh banana slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F for the cheesecake layer.
  2. Mix cream cheese, sugar, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth. Pour into a springform pan and bake for 40–45 minutes. Chill after cooling.
  3. Preheat to 350°F for the banana cake layer. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time with mashed bananas and vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients with buttermilk until combined. Bake for 25–30 minutes.
  4. For the pudding layer, whisk pudding mix with milk until thickened; fold in whipped topping.
  5. Assemble by layering banana cake, half of the pudding, cheesecake layer, remaining pudding, then top with the second banana cake layer.
  6. Decorate with caramel sauce and fresh bananas before serving chilled.
